Ankan art associates decided to organise the Biennale of Drawing to promote the significance and role of drawing as a concept and art form among contemporary artists. The modern nature and reach of the Biennale provides a broad overview and cross section of this art form and is most congenial to the exchange of ideas and trends among artists all over the India. The Biennale of Drawing is a contest organised for professional artists from all over the India. The goal of the contest is to showcase contemporary variety of artistic creation using the drawing technique and to compare artistic output of drawing artist representing a variety of aesthetic and cultures.
